Everyone has their own way of moving!

À chacun sa manière de bouger !

Reading time: 2 minutes

It's a well-known fact: moving more can improve your physical and mental health. 1 But that doesn't necessarily mean joining a gym. There are plenty of fun, even unique, ways to increase your activity level without having to wear leggings, lift weights, or lace up a pair of sneakers.

Do your chores to music!

Housework can be fun. Vacuuming isn't that boring, and it's a physical activity like any other . Just play your favorite songs and move to the beat to have fun! You can also mow the lawn to music. With a pair of headphones and a good, fast-paced rhythm, you'll be more active and efficient!

Get into the circus!

If you like the circus, try juggling, walking on a tightrope, or riding a unicycle. It's a great alternative to more traditional physical exercises. You can even borrow ideas from your children... 3 Have you ever tried skateboarding or rollerblading? What about jumping rope? It's a fun way to improve your agility and endurance.

Dance!

Meeting up with friends in a cafe or bar is great for catching up on news, but it can be dangerous for your waistline . So, why not combine business with pleasure and go dancing instead of grabbing a drink? Half an hour on the dance floor will burn up to 200 calories, while still having a great time in good company.

Challenge yourself

Competitions are more motivating than walks, and they push you to push yourself. Why settle for a simple walk when you can easily turn it into a race against time? Organizing a treasure hunt is perfect for bringing together friends, colleagues, and even family while enjoying the great outdoors. Set a deadline by which participants must have found and brought back unusual objects to get the adrenaline pumping. Or how about a family obstacle course in the garden? If organization isn't your strong point, there are a multitude of events you can sign up for. Marathons, color runs, treasure hunts... There are plenty of options to choose from to strengthen your cheekbones and increase your activity level.
