Dear friends,
Yesterday, you were able to discover Rémi's moving testimony. A 75-year-old former cyclist, he was paralyzed in one leg following an accident...
But thanks to Jacques Choque's chair yoga method, he can finally stand on his own two feet today.
His story moved you: I received a TIDAL WAVE of comments!
You too find that “normal” yoga is not easy to access. Here is a small excerpt from your comments:
I had knee surgery on April 23rd and am currently undergoing rehabilitation. According to the orthopedist, I cannot do traditional yoga for at least 6 months. – Jacques
I like not being on a mat and not putting my knees on the floor… I really liked yoga before a traffic accident last year – Marie-José
When you can no longer stand for more than a minute without having to stand or sit, your choices are limited – Hélène
It seems to me to be much less restrictive than putting down your mat and getting on the floor for exercises – Pierre
I practiced yoga for 35 years but had to stop due to my health. With chair yoga, I have hope for better. – Mireille
So Hélène, Mireille, Pierre…and all of you who have written to me in large numbers, I reassure you:
With Jacques Choque, you've come to the right place.
Precisely, there is another comment that spoke to me a lot:
I remembered that yoga was gently zen – Annie
I agree with you Annie!
This made me want to write to you to correct the truth about yoga .
Indeed…
We've been doing everything wrong in yoga for 200 years!
Today, we imagine yoga more like this:

But if an Indian yoga teacher from 1000 years ago saw these people...
…He would be SCANDALIZED!
Jacques, who has been practicing for 50 years, confirmed this to me.
There is no need to twist to work muscles and joints.
In fact, these “contortionist” postures are useless!
Because 5000 years ago…
Yoga didn't look like that at all.
The truth is this.
Yoga was originally practiced in a seated position.
Look at this very old Indian painting from the 16th century which represents yogis (people who practice yoga).
As you can see, they are almost all seated!
Physical postures were not central to the practice unlike today.
Sitting postures were the norm .
It was not until around 1830 that greater emphasis was placed on standing postures and the more “athletic” aspects of yoga.
And today, most yoga “teachers” have made it an extreme sport …
But Jacques Choque's chair yoga reconnects with the pure tradition of yoga
Jacques Choque's chair yoga is therefore closer to yoga as it was practiced 5,000 years ago.

This is why you will find the same benefits for mobility , muscle tone and cardiovascular health .
And Jacques promises you: yes, you can really build muscle with chair yoga!
What better way to convince you than to offer to test this directly with Jacques?
